About Me
Hi, I’m Quintana Jones—a proud African American woman, writer, independent filmmaker, and advocate for personal growth and empowerment. Life has taught me the importance of resilience, and I’ve made it my mission to turn my experiences into stories that inspire and uplift others. Whether I’m writing about overcoming narcissistic abuse or crafting short films that explore real-life challenges, my goal is to connect with people on a deeply human level. One of the most meaningful aspects of my journey has been exploring my roots. As someone who values heritage and culture, I’ve always felt a deep curiosity about Africa, the birthplace of history, art, and resilience. Why Lagos? Lagos, Nigeria, stands out to me as a city of energy, creativity, and tradition. It’s the beating heart of African innovation, where old and new coexist in a beautiful dance. From its vibrant music scene to its diverse cuisine, Lagos feels like a place where I can experience the continent's soul. This trip is personal. It’s a chance to connect with a part of myself that I’ve only read about or seen from afar. I want to walk the streets of Lagos, taste its flavors, hear its stories, and return home with a richer understanding of my identity. By sharing this journey, I hope to inspire others to explore their roots, embrace their histories, and find strength in where they come from. This is more than just a trip for me—it’s a bridge to a deeper sense of self and a new chapter in my life. Thank you for supporting me as I embark on this incredible adventure!
