About Me
Hi! I’m Sage. I’m originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, and grew up as a military brat, which meant moving around quite a bit and learning to adapt to new places and environments. Those experiences definitely shaped my curiosity about the world and the natural environments around me. I’m currently a student at North Carolina State University studying Environmental Technology Management, where I’ve really fallen in love with the applied side of environmental work getting out into the field and thinking about real solutions for managing natural resources and supporting communities. Outside of school, I’m a very proud pet mom to my dog Jax and my spicy cat Vixon, who keep life interesting and entertaining. When I’m not studying or working, you can usually find me listening to Critical Role, watching Solo Leveling, playing a good game or working on a good jigsaw puzzle. I also love spending time outdoors, and one of my long-term goals is to hike in every U.S. National Park. Being outside and exploring different landscapes has always been something that keeps me grounded and reminds me why I care so much about environmental stewardship. Between being a full-time student, working full-time, and helping with stormwater research, life stays busy, but I’m really excited about the path I’m on and the opportunities to keep learning about how we can better protect and manage our natural systems.
