About Me

Hi there! My name is Sahili! I am an editor, translator, contents producer and advocator, dedicated to the promotion of girls' and women's rights specialized in gender and media, education and ICTs. I was born in Caracas, Venezuela, on March 15, 1990. My native languages are Spanish and English, proud and happy of my Latin-Caribbean heritage and identity. As a social researcher and activist as well, one of my passions is to actively engage in projects that will procure the bettering of girls and women's lives and procure their social development, advancing into the construction of a more equal world. In addition to the work I do in interpreting, translating and teaching in English as a foreign language, aiming to build bridges between diverse communities and cultures, my line of work aims at researching and communicating situations that can better the lives of girls and women in my country and in the world, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. I will continue this amazing journey by studying for my PhD in Shanghai, China, starting this fall semester. I'm so excited! Thanking you in advance for being a significant part of my dream, here goes a lot for an amazing life journey.
