We, a husband and wife team, have traveled throughout Canada, the United States, and parts of Europe, sparking our love for travel and a deep desire to explore new places. This all began long before children, and as our family grew, we knew we wanted to share that joy and experience with them. But, there was one thing we didn’t like: while both working, living paycheck to paycheck, and feeling like vacations were out of reach. We could barely afford a family camping trip once a year, and quality family time was something we were desperately missing. It was time for a change. We decided that even just a year of travel would open our eyes, shift our perspectives, and bring us closer as a family. We reasoned that after that year, we could always come back and start over, but we couldn’t ignore the pull to explore, connect, and live differently. We dreamed of warmer weather, cheaper lodging, daily outdoor adventures, and a life where we could really focus on each other. Fast forward five years, and our dream became our reality. We’ve had our highs and lows, but honestly, this journey has brought us closer together, taught us invaluable lessons, and filled our hearts with memories we never imagined we'd have. We’ve had to say “see you later” to wonderful friends and found an inspiring worldschooling community, but each goodbye makes us stronger and more connected than ever.
