About Me
I have been diagnosed with a rare Lung disease called 'Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension ', this is where the Pulmonary valve has narrowed and my heart has to pump harder to get my bloody into my lungs to be oxygenated. I am on a lot of medication to help me breath but there is NO CURE for this other than a Double lung and Heart Transplant. I'm under the care of the Alfred Hospital, but my last heart surgical procedure showed I have gotten worse since having COVID19 the pressures across my lungs & heart have gone from 4.6 to 9, so Ive had a new medication with is very strong so I'm gradually getting used to them as they have strong side effects. I have to stop smoking as they won't do the transplant if I don't . Therefore I have to get away from my everyday triggers for that first month at least to be able to do this I know it's a big ask guys but I'm honestly scared for what lays ahead for me in both this disease & the transplant so I also feel this maybe the last trip I will be able to take , so id love to be able to make some memories with my youngest daughter as she is helping me in this journey. The BIGGEST impact this trip will have is HUGE! Its my LIFE and I will be able to play with my grandkids & be me again . I forget what "normal " feels like.... Thankyou for taking the time to read my story X Sasha X
