Pazaz Dance Studio was started in May 2015 honouring a lifelong dream of Ms. Shama Harding to have her own dance school. The school is aptly named for the leap of faith that it was and currently teaches both children and adults various styles of dance including Modern-Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, and Caribbean Dance. Pazaz Dance Studio is a member of The Imperial Society of the Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) and dance and the Child international (daCi), two international organisations that seek to promote dance education and inclusivity. Pazaz Children’s Theatre is the performing and touring company of the school and was officially started in September of 2015; it is a children’s dance theatre group comprising dancers from the age of 6 to 18. The aim is to develop both the performance skills and technical skills of its members while giving them opportunities to share their passion for dance both to Barbados and the wider world.
