Florence & Amalfi Coast June 5 - June 9, 2024 On June 5th you arrive in Rome and immediately transfer to the birthplace of the Renaissance, Florence. The treasures of Florence will thrill you. Dinner* is included tonight. During a walking tour of the city* on June 6th, you will see many of the important sights of this historic town including Michelangelo’s “David” at the Accademia*, Santa Maria Novella, the Duomo, and the eight-sided Baptistry. Other optional highlights may include visiting the Boboli Gardens, shopping in the straw market and open-air market, visiting a leather factory and strolling across the Ponte-Vecchio to see the gold and silver shops. Your last day in Florence, June 7, is devoted to personal time for shopping and sightseeing. On June 8th, you depart Florence and travel by train to the Amalfi Coast via Naples. Your trip today offers spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast. Upon arrival to Naples, you will be met and taken to the amazing archaeological sites of Pompeii for a guided visit. From Pompeii, you will be transferred to your Amalfi Coast hotel with dinner* included, following hotel check-in. June 9th takes you on an excursion to the Isle of Capri* where you will see coastal villages, marine caves and cliff faces that drop dramatically into the sea. The beauty of Capri surrounds you as you stroll through the center of Capri with its boutiques, studios, and churches. On the morning of June 10th, you will depart your hotel for the incredible archaeological site of Paestum, the site of the largest Greek temple outside of Greece. From Paestum you will bid farewell to the Amalfi Coast and travel to the magnificent city of Rome. Rome June 10 - June 13, 2024 Welcome to Rome! Upon arrival to Rome on June 10th, you will proceed to your hotel for check-in and dinner* followed by an evening of exploring Rome at night. The day of June 11th is devoted to a guided walking tour*. You will enjoy visiting such sites as the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and the area of the Colosseum and Forum and the St. Clement Basilica*. Your morning of June 12th is scheduled for a guided visit to Vatican City and St. Peter’s Basilica*. Your final afternoon is free for last minute personal sightseeing and shopping followed by your farewell dinner*. On June 13th return home with souvenirs, photos, and memories of your Italian adventure!
