About Me
I come from West Africa, where I experienced the challenges of living through poverty, poor governance and lack of resources which ultimately led to a civil war in my country and me having to immigrate to the United States. This journey has shaped much of who I am today—resilient, resourceful, and deeply empathetic. Adapting to life in the U.S. has allowed me to grow in ways I couldn’t have imagined, while holding onto the rich cultural heritage and values of my homeland. My experiences have taught me the importance of perseverance, the power of community, and the need to always look forward, no matter the obstacles. These personal experiences have also given me a unique perspective, enabling me to approach challenges with a deep sense of gratitude and determination. I value the opportunity to connect with others from diverse backgrounds, as I believe that our differences make us stronger, and our stories are what unite us.
