About Me
Hi! I’m Tessa Aguilar. I'm a first-generation Mexican-American student at UCLA majoring in Political Science and minoring in Global and East Asian Studies. I'm passionate about law, language learning, and performing arts! In Winter 2023, I interned with the U.S. Congress, and in Fall 2024, I served in the White House Internship Program, where I worked in correspondence and inclusive policymaking. I’m also a Research Intern for the Committee for Human Rights in North Korea (HRNK), and an English language tutor on Ringle!I ultimately plan to work in a legal setting at the United Nations or the U.S. Department of State. When I’m not studying or advocating, you’ll probably find me journaling in cafés, learning new languages, or swing dancing! I’m excited about the chance to represent my community on an international level, and beyond grateful for your support in making this journey possible!
