Torch Bearers trust is a non-profit organization made up of friends to focus on access to basic health, access to clean water, food security and balanced nutrition in rural Zimbabwe. Being students, we travel there during the summer to teach in schools, to spear head projects like A birthing room for mum, and teach basic skill like preserves and condiments making which are essential in balanced nutrition food security, and alleviating hunger. This summer our goal is to raise funds for renovating and improving the labour/birthing room at Mukamba clinic which is in complete shambles. It has no running water, no electric, the small bed is old, there are no basic portable infant monitors, and there is no toilet or washing room. There is only an old outhouse with a hole in the ground which is dangerous and un hygienic for expectant mums. We will share pictures of renovations and improvements made by your donations and post a video to our Facebook and youtube channel, just to thank you and let people know of your good deeds.
