About Me

Hello! My name is Tori and I am a Loyola University Chicago senior studying biology and Spanish with a minor in mathematics. I'm originally from Minnesota and have been fortunate to live in Chicago and Madrid while completing my undergraduate degree. I currently am studying for the MCAT exam (Medical College Admissions Tests) and plan to apply to American medical colleges in Puerto Rico and Mexico beginning next year. I am passionate about being a vector to provide necessary care to a larger range of people here in the states, especially Spanish-speaking families in rural communities or without access to medical services. Earning an American degree at a Spanish-speaking medical school is my long-term goal. I became a part-time student in January 2016, and have been working as a nanny and waitress to pay off school. Unfortunately, I was unable to make enough money to enroll in classes for this fall semester, so I continue working and plan to return to school in the beginning of 2017... I plan to return to Madrid, where I studied a couple years ago, because I love and miss it dearly, and tuition happens to be more affordable there.
