About Me
Tosha’s educational expertise reaches across the globe as she studied abroad in Madrid, Spain as part of her dual major in Spanish and Education. She used her bilingual skills while serving as a Peace Corps volunteer and spent three years teaching preschool, training preschool teachers, and writing the preschool curriculum for the Ministry of Health and Education in Costa Rica. She lives by her alma mater's motto "Not to be served, but to serve." Tosha is currently an administrator at an independent school. Before that, she was a professor in the Cato School of Education at Queens University of Charlotte. She was also the Director of the NC and Cato Fellows Programs where she created leadership and community service opportunities to enrich the student’s educational experiences. This is her 31st year as an educator. She has won many awards for her teaching and has been recognized for closing the opportunity gap for students from low socio-economic backgrounds, including the Meck Ed Teacher of Excellence, Teacher of the Year Award, and the Excellence in Teaching Award from the National Society of Leadership and Success.
