I'm a first-generation freshman International undergraduate student, pursuing my bachelor's degree in the United States. I'm curious, empathetic, compassionate, and always motivated to learn. I'm interested in artificial intelligence, mathematics, and computer science as well as marketing and entrepreneurship. In my free time, I enjoy reading, learning new things, and sometimes gaming. In regards to my background, I'm a Somalian, last-born in my family, and first to ever school abroad. I'm from a low-income and poor family, I grew up with my three sisters and a single mother who struggled and went above and beyond to care for us and grow me up. I hope to graduate college and pursue the dream that my mother has encouraged me to the best of my ability, to make her happy and proud, and to give her back. I'm earning my bachelor's degree to help my family and my community, especially financially disadvantaged students like me. My education goal is to inspire people from all backgrounds and invite them to learn and get knowledge and fight ignorance. When I graduate I want to start a program that empowers financially disadvantaged youth by providing them the tools, support, and knowledge they need to enter and persist in STEM. Your support will give me the chance to access modern education and a good environment, where I could build my passion and career goals. Winning this fundraising project will not only help me finish my long road journey but also, will help me achieve my educational and career goals, to give back to my family, community, and people.
