YASSET DE PAZ GONZALEZ

About Me

"I am a passionate mathematics teacher who has been residing in Venezuela for the past 10 years. During this decade, I have dedicated my life to education and have had the privilege of working with students of various ages, inspiring them to explore the wonderful world of mathematics. However, behind my passion for education and learning, there has been a deep-seated dream and longing that has been difficult to attain. It has been 10 years since I last visited my beloved Cuba, my homeland and the place where my roots were born. The reason behind this prolonged separation has been an ongoing struggle with economic constraints. Despite my unwavering desire to reunite with my family and friends in Cuba, financial difficulties have prevented me from taking that step. Each day that passes away from my home country serves as a constant reminder of what I've left behind and the experiences and shared moments I've missed. Yet, it also serves as a reminder of the importance of continuing to strive for my dreams and the strength I find in teaching mathematics. As a teacher, I've learned that mathematics is a powerful tool for overcoming obstacles and solving problems. It's this very determination and ability to find solutions that drive me to overcome the economic barriers that separate me from my family in Cuba. I am committed to working hard, not only to enrich the education of my students in Venezuela but also to reunite with my loved ones and embrace my homeland. This fundraising project represents my quest for a long-awaited reunion with my family in Cuba. Each contribution is a step toward achieving this dream that fills me with excitement and gratitude. The support from the community, my friends, and my students is invaluable and represents a ray of hope in my journey to make a difference in my life and in the lives of those I have the honor to teach."
